The 25th Anniversary presentation of the Renate Shearer Award will be made to:

Screen Shot 2014-12-01 at 4.10.26 PMSociety for Children and Youth of B.C. in recognition of its exemplary work in promoting Child Rights in British Columbia.  The Society for Children and Youth of B.C. has been fighting for the protection of child rights in B.C. since 1974.  Using the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the organization strives to improve the well-being of all children and youth across the province.

Hors d’ oeuvres, no-host bar and live music provided. Accessible facility, presentations begins at 6:15pm.

Screen Shot 2013-11-27 at 7.57.17 PMEach year, the Renate Shearer Memorial Award is presented to a person or organization who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of human rights. This award is a memorial to the life and work of Renate Shearer who was a champion of equality and dignity for all.
