Call For Volunteer Program Proposals

unacto1The mandate of UNAC-Vancouver is to engage the Canadian public in the work of the United Nations. We are inviting applications for passionate individuals to develop a program that has the ability to engage local volunteers of varying commitment levels, ages, and backgrounds with a critical international issue.

Applications must include:
1. One page proposal detailing:
  • scope and vision of the program
  • type of global issue addressed (eg. child soldiers, human trafficking, etc)
  • support requested from UNAC Vancouver
  • Min/max number volunteers need for operation and able to participate
  • target demographic
  • frequency and duration of the program
  • location
  • volunteer recruitment plan

2. One page describing your experience managing volunteers and/or community engagement programs

3. One page describing your experience managing volunteers and/or community engagement programs

4. One page budget (to be used for reimbursements eg. food rentals promotional materials, etc.)
 

Criteria to be used for judging:

  • alignment with UNAC Vancouver mission and UN issue(s)
  • ability to engage a variety of volunteers on a consistent basis
  • program feasibility
  • proposed budget
  • previous experience managing volunteers

Successful program(s) will be hosted for 1-year terms with the possibility of extension to be determined by UNAC Vancouver Board Members.
